The Spin project explores the centrifugal force. This rotational movement makes it possible to experimentally mold thin-walled concrete pieces with a center devoid of material. The study of the centrifugal force made it possible to develop two typologies of molds. First, the principle of cylindrical molding was made ore complex by the addition of grooves. Thus, we can observe an opportunity for stools legs with this singular language. Then, the use of the square-based prism concentrates the rotating material at the four junctions of the mold. This avenue allows the creation of chair legs. In this case, to stand out from the existing designs made with centrifugal force, the challenge is to combine a framework which forms the legs, but also the seat and chairback. Also, the integration of 3D printing into the process allows additional molding complexity, this is an avenue to be explored furthermore.
